The Aeratis 12-½” Stair_Tread, is a 12-1/2” x 7/8” x 16’ PVC plank specifically engineered to be used as a tread for interior or exterior stairs. Aeratis Stair-Tread comes in Battleship Gray, Vintage Slate, Weathered Wood, and our proprietary paint ready formula.

Two of the four edges of the board have a pre-finished rounded edge, while the other 2 edges are 90-degree corners, a true reversible board. The pre-finished bullnose provides the finishing touch for the lead edge of stairs or a seamless picture frame. If the pre-finished bull nosed edge is not desired. This product can be ripped on a table saw to create 2 boards 6-¼” wide to be used to picture-frame exterior living space.

For stair applications, make sure the bullnose is facing out on the lead edge of the stairs.  This will create a rolled over edge vs a sharp corner in the event of someone tripping while walking up or down the stairs. It is always best practice to tip the stair treads towards the structure. This will accomplish to goals. 1) it will help water shed off the stairs 2) it will stop the visual illusion for people walking on the stairs that the stairs are sloped way making it easy to slip while walking down the stairs.
