Traditional porches previous to 1940 were large spaces typically used for entertaining and additional living space. For several years after the 1950 porches were built too small for social gathering, but today, with the New Urbanism movement becoming more and more popular, architects and developers are bringing back the large porches for gathering, relaxing and extended living space. Aeratis was designed and engineered to facilitate this porch movement without the maintenance of wood but with the performance of the mature timbers that were used over 100 years ago.
Homeowners associations of these planned New Urban developments or traditional neighborhoods where porches are common throughout the community, may be eligible for free porch replacements and large rebates back for the community association.
